Privacy policy

Your files never leave your device
ImageConvert converts and edits images, video and audio entirely inside your browser using technologies like the Canvas API and WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party. Once you close the page, nothing about your files remains anywhere except on your own device.
Cookies, ads and analytics
ImageConvert is free to use. To help cover hosting costs, this site may show ads from third-party ad networks (such as Google), and may use analytics tools to understand traffic in aggregate. Where these are active, the ad and analytics providers can set cookies or use similar technology on your device, for purposes like measuring how the site is used, preventing fraud, and, for ads, showing more relevant ones.
If you visit from the EEA or UK, you will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookie is set, through a consent banner on the site. You can change your choice at any time. Turning off ad or analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the converter or tools.
We do not control what data a third-party ad or analytics provider collects beyond what they disclose in their own privacy policy, so we recommend checking the relevant provider's policy (for example Google's) for details on how they process data.
What we do not collect
We do not require an account, and we do not see the content, names or metadata of the files you convert, since conversion happens entirely on your device. If you contact us through our contact form, we only receive what you type into that form.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosting providers, Vercel may process standard technical request data (such as IP address and user agent) to serve pages and protect against abuse. See the Vercel privacy policy for details.
Local storage
We store a small amount of information in your browser's local storage, such as your light or dark theme choice and, once available, your cookie consent choice. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Video and audio conversion
The video and audio tools download a conversion engine (FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly) from our own domain the first time you use them. The engine runs locally; your media files are processed on your device and are never sent over the network.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time, for example when we add or change an ad or analytics provider. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
